We saw a bee on March 26th (are they up and about already?) that we've never seen before and wonder if someone can identify it. It was feasting on a flower but don't know if it's a honey bee. It had a yellow and black body, but was fuzzy and red on it's behind (no pun intended). Any ideas? Please send e-mail!

I found your site with a link from Allen Dick's Diary on honeybeeworld, as I have friends, named Casares, who live in Port Angeles who we visited in '95, I logged on and am very impressed by your site. I am chairman of our group in Liskeard and a member of the Beekeeping Council for Cornwall. Your list of beekeeping links is brilliant so please add our site www.cbka.co.uk

The honey produced in this part of the US is wonderful. Website is great. Would like to know more about positive health benefits of honey (mainly for alergies).

Well-presented web site and congratulations on the newsletters - its difficult to keep up that quality. Interested to know if the sugar-dusting of whole colonies is still considered a useful technique for varroa CONTROL (rather than varroa detection) Pyrethroid-resistant mites are not too far away .......

You have a very nice layout and the page is quick to come up. What expense is involved in setting up a site like you have? I am a member of the Santa Clara Valley Beekeepers Guild. We are generally located in and around San Jose, CA.
